Hyperlane (HYPER), a cross-chain messaging protocol focused on blockchain interoperability, has officially launched on Binance following its recent inclusion in the Binance HODLer Airdrops program.

Trading for HYPER opened on April 22, 2025, at 13:00 UTC, with the token now available across five pairs.

In the days leading up to the listing, Binance distributed a total of 20 million HYPER tokens to eligible BNB holders through its HODLer Airdrops campaign.

The distribution targeted users who had subscribed their BNB to Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields products between April 14 and April 17. Eligible recipients received their tokens in their spot accounts shortly before trading began.

What is Binance HODLer Airdrop

HODLer Airdrops is a reward system created by Binance to give back to long-term BNB holders. By subscribing BNB to Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields, users automatically become eligible for token rewards from selected project launches.

Unlike other token distribution methods, HODLer Airdrops do not require users to claim or register manually. Instead, Binance uses a snapshot system to calculate average BNB holdings across multiple hours and allocates rewards accordingly.

For the Hyperlane airdrop, eligibility was capped at 4 percent of total BNB pool holdings per user to encourage broader participation.

A total of 20 million HYPER tokens were distributed, representing 2.49% of the genesis supply.

To get involved in future distributions, visit Binance Earn, select BNB, and subscribe to any of the available earning products.

What is Hyperlane

Hyperlane is a permissionless interoperability protocol that enables cross-chain messaging between blockchain ecosystems.

It allows developers to connect smart contracts, tokens, applications, and messages across any virtual machine environment.

With over 150 chains connected and more than 6.2 billion dollars in bridged value to date, Hyperlane has become one of the most active infrastructure protocols in the space.

The protocol supports a modular architecture where developers can define their own security models using Interchain Security Modules.

These include options such as multisigs, zero-knowledge proofs, and restaked security through EigenLayer. Hyperlane currently supports five major virtual machines, including EVM, Cosmos, SVM, Fuel, and Move.

Its native token, HYPER, is used for staking, governance, and incentivizing network activity. Validators stake HYPER to provide economic security for cross-chain communication and are subject to penalties for dishonest behavior.

Users and developers also earn usage-based rewards, with fees used to support protocol sustainability through burning or redistribution.

Tools and Ecosystem

Hyperlane has developed a suite of open-source tools for developers and users. These include Warp Routes for token bridging, the Hyperlane Explorer for tracking transactions, and Nexus Bridge for simplified cross-chain UI.

The ecosystem currently supports over 390 active applications and serves between 200,000 and 400,000 unique wallets monthly.

The project has attracted more than 23 million dollars in funding from investors such as Variant, CoinFund, Hack VC, and Galaxy. It is now positioned as a core infrastructure provider for interoperable applications and ecosystems.
