Binance has announced changes to its token classification framework as part of its ongoing project reviews.
Effective April 3, 2025, the exchange will extend the Monitoring Tag to 10 additional tokens and remove the Seed Tag from three.
New Tokens Added to Monitoring Tag:
- Ardor (ARDR)
- Biswap (BSW)
- Flamingo (FLM)
- LTO Network (LTO)
- NKN (NKN)
- PlayDapp (PDA)
- Perpetual Protocol (PERP)
- Viberate (VIB)
- Voxies (VOXEL)
- Wing Finance (WING)
According to Binance, tokens marked with the Monitoring Tag are considered to exhibit significantly higher volatility and risk relative to other listed assets.
These tokens are subject to enhanced monitoring and periodic reviews. Tokens that do not meet Binance’s listing criteria may be delisted.
Tokens Removed from Seed Tag:
- Jupiter (JUP)
- Starknet (STRK)
- Toncoin (TON)
The Seed Tag is typically used for newly listed tokens or those from innovative projects that may be relatively untested in the market.
Its removal indicates that the tokens have met certain internal performance or compliance benchmarks.
User Requirements for Tagged Tokens
Binance users who wish to trade any token with a Monitoring or Seed Tag must pass a risk awareness quiz every 90 days and agree to the platform’s Terms of Use.
These measures aim to increase user awareness of potential trading risks. Binance will display the tag status and warnings on the Spot, Margin, and Markets Overview pages.
